Yes, I'm alive!(11/28)

Hello, all you wonderful, glorious, fantastic, inspiring, artistic, dear patient members of LionessRampant! It is I, Happineff, your very-much-lacking-of-late administrator.

It may seem like I fell off the face of the planet around the end of August--and now I am back. I wish I could tell you that I was off galavanting in the Realms of the Gods, but really, I had a very busy encounter with this nagging little thing called "college," and I painfully admit to being overwhelmed and too busy to update the club. *teardrop* I'm so bad, this always seems to happen. But the truth is, there is life outside DA and I had to indulge in it.

The rest of this week, I plan on sifting through the piles of comments and notes we have accumulated. If you sent a join request, FEAR NOT! You will be added ASAP. As I recall, I also need to update our last contest, we do have a winner, and that will be posted soon too.

So I must apologize for disappearing, but I do care about this club deeply and I am just tickled pink that you care enough to be a part of it! Sit tight, my hearties. We're gonna be back in action.

Welcome to Tortall:

Hello, and welcome to the first and (apparently) ONLY club here on DA for fans of Tamora Pierce's novels! The basic premise of the this club is to bring fans of Tamora Pierce together where they can drool over how dreamy Jon/George/Numair (etc.) is and to hail each other for outstanding taste in fantasy novels.

I wanted to create this club because I've found bits of Alanna or Daine (and other) fanart spread throughout Deviantart, but there was nothing out there that let me enjoy that fanart in one community, at one time.

I hope that by bringing fans together, all of us will have (sweet glorious) access to those fanarts that are usually so rare and hard to find. And I know there are some great pieces out there, so help us find them. Or better yet, make them!

How to Join:

It's simple.

All I ask is that you send a quick note to ~LionessRampant asking to join. Put something pertaining to "join" in the subject line.

And for kicks, let me know who your favorite character or series is, or perhaps what hooked you into Tammy's world in the first place. I'm always curious about that.

Rules and Requirements:

Good news! There really aren't any strict rules and requirements here. I simply want to bring together anyone and everyone who has read and fallen in love with the characters of Tamora Pierce. If you've read even one book and found it to your liking, you more than qualify.

So while I won't require you to go through the Ordeal of Knighthood or sign a blood oath, I will ask a few things of my members:

Firstly, it would be helpful if you would add the club to your Watchlist, so you can keep up with updates and contests.

Secondly, please mention the club name in your journal somewhere, either as an icon or dev-link. That way, others will know that you are classy and will come here and learn how to be classy as well by joining!
